“Lawgic® is the most intelligent way to draft wills and trusts.” -
Ed Koren, Holland & Knight Private Wealth Services Section Leader
Chair of the American Bar Association's Section of Real Property, Probate and Trust Law

For years trusts & estates practitioners have sought a software program that makes efficient drafting of high quality documents possible (and practical). Holland & Knight has a large, multi-state trusts & estates practice that requires special attention to efficiency, consistency and quality throughout the firm. Prior to discovering Lawgic, we built our own system to prepare documents, but we never stopped looking for a better one.

In 1998 we were introduced to a patented, very sophisticated yet remarkably easy to use software system called Lawgic. Specifically designed for attorneys, its complex “artificial intelligence,” when coupled with our practice knowledge and drafting expertise, would dramatically improve our ability to efficiently generate consistent, accurate and state specifically compliant documents. This concept was so attractive we agreed to author versions for Florida and other states where we have offices, and to keep them up to date as needed.

These state-specific versions of Lawgic are unique. Besides producing compliant, comprehensive, easy to read documents, the system also provides a thorough discussion of relevant law and practice commentary throughout the drafting process. Completed documents are automatically sent to the word processor, fully formatted for printing, including pagination, a detailed table of contents, and a very useful summary of the plan.

Lawgic (the company) makes money marketing our content and legal analysis with its software to other attorneys. While we make a nominal royalty on those sales, the real reason we dedicate so much of our resources to maintaining Lawgic is that we believe it is a uniquely valuable practice tool that will improve the quality, efficiency and profitability of all trusts & estates attorneys, including our own. The cost of an annual subscription is so reasonable that we believe it will pay for itself many times over even if you are a small firm or sole practitioner. We highly recommend it.
