Uniform Principal and Income Act Replaced

The Uniform Principal and Income Act (sections 16300 et seq.) was repealed and a new act of the same name was added (sections 16320 et seq.). Lawgic formerly included in the section titled “To Retain or Purchase Unproductive or Under-productive Property” (Article: Special Discretionary Powers) a sentence that the provisions of Probate Code section 16311 shall not apply to any trust created. That sentence has been removed with the repeal of section 16311.

Repeal of California Natural Death Act and Provisions of Statutory Health Care DPA

Effective July 1, 2000, the statutory form Durable Power of Attorney for Health Care and Declaration under Natural Death Act (Living Will) will be replaced by a new Advance Health Care Directive under the Uniform Health Care Decisions Act. The new statutory form will be included in a future update.
